Year 9 Food Technology
Although next year timetables are yet to be finalised, course selection is now finished. Any changes to student courses will now take place in January.
Course Description
Teacher in Charge: Mr O. Webb.
This is a one-year course aimed at giving students an insight into the technology process. It involves collaboration, problem solving and a variety of hands on activities.
We ask that a contribution of $100 is made to cover the take-home component of food for students selecting this course.
Course Overview
Term 1
Pasta Sauce-
To start the year the students will be creating their own jar of Pasta Sauce to suit their families tastes.
Term 2
Scrolls-
The students will be looking at local charities and creating a scroll that can be given to those in need.
Term 3
Stir fry-
This term the Year 9's will be investigating the process and flavours involved in stir fry’s from around the world.
Term 4
Deserts-
The students will be looking at developing their own deserts with multiple components.
